This Labor Day weekend, CBS 58 continues its partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association with the broadcast of the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.
“This is our 13th year of brining the telethon to Milwaukee”, said Jim Hall, General Manager of the Milwaukee Weigel Broadcasting Co. television stations. “The MDA Telethon has become a Labor Day tradition at our station and our staff is proud to help in the effort to find a cure for neuromuscular disease.”
The MDA Telethon began with one station in New York City in 1966. Since then, it has been the longest continuously running telethon in US television history. Since 1998, the CBS 58 Milwaukee broadcast of the telethon raised $13,802,118.

Doug MacRay is an unrepentant criminal, the de facto leader of a group of ruthless bank robbers who pride themselves in stealing what they want and getting out clean. With no real attachments, Doug never has to fear losing anyone close to him. But that all changed on the gang's latest job, when they briefly took a hostage--bank manager, Claire Keesey. Though they let her go unharmed, Claire is nervously aware that the robbers know her name and where she lives. But she lets her guard down when she meets an unassuming and rather charming man named Doug not realizing that he is the same man who only days earlier had terrorized her. The instant attraction between them gradually turns into a passionate romance that threatens to take them both down a dangerous, and potentially deadly, path.
Johnny Knoxville and his JACKASS prankster buddies are at it again in this third outing presented for the first time in 3D -- an effect that will no doubt redefine the use of the in-your-face technology. Once again Jeff Tremaine returns to direct the MTV Films/Paramount Pictures production.
